Refocusing Newcastle’s champions for local business

A new look and online presence for Newcastle Now BIA.

Background

Newcastle Now is the business improvement association for Newcastle’s CBD. Tasked with driving the city’s centre forward, the group use place-making, events, sponsorship and social media promotion to work with businesses and bring the CBD to life. Unfortunately their branding created some confusion around their role and we were approached to redesign it along with their website.

Solution

We worked closely with Newcastle Now’s marketing team to develop new branding, collateral and website to help their cause and better explain their role in the revitalisation of Newcastle.

Logo

The logomark depicts four arrows pointing inwards, representing people being drawn into the Newcastle CBD. Together they create an ‘N’ for Newcastle Now. In addition to the new symbol, a simple descriptor was locked up with the logo to drive home the organisation’s purpose.

Website

We completely rebuilt their website from the ground up, absorbing the business directory from their defunct native iOS app to create a responsive experience across all platforms.
