Brand Identity Design


Obsurfation is a design-focused app that delivers detailed swell, wind and tide forecast updates for surf locations across Australia. To coincided its launch in the Apple and Google Play stores, we were approached to refresh the look and feel of the app.


We developed a bold new ocean-inspired brand identity, designed to stand out in a crowded app store. We also worked closely with founder Dave Nixon to amplify the new look throughout the app’s UI. Obsurfation has since been acquired by Deckee.

Making Waves

Along with the brand identity and app UI, we created a special print promotion in the form of split-fountain letterpress business cards. The card features a unique green to blue gradient running through the brand’s line pattern, representing the surface of water. This tactile approach is intended to make a lasting first impression on potential investors.
