Primary Health Network

An intertwining brand identity for a community focused organisation.

Brand Identity Design

Background

The Primary Health Network is a not for profit organisation funded by the Commonwealth Government aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the primary health care system. After undertaking an internal audit and strategic work with brand.council, they required an updated brand identity to match with their new guiding philosophy, ‘transforming health care’.

Solution

The PHN was evolving, naturally transitioning to a new name that the Hunter and Central Coast community had given them. Our brief was to keep it simple, the Primary Health Network wanted a friendly brand identity to represent their positive attitude — and a community-focused aesthetic to match with the work they do.

Before & After

We developed a minimal wordmark inspired by an intertwining network to represent the multiple regions that the PHN work across. This is complemented by a simple graphic system to ensure easy implementation.

"We’re thrilled with our partnership with Shorthand Studio and the final product. The team encapsulated our brief perfectly and brought our brand to life. The process was smooth and collaborative with Amanda and the team always on hand to assist. We look forward to continuing to work with Shorthand as our organisation evolves."
